You Have Not Been Missed Mourinho

Manchester United have been on the up since sacking manager José Mourinho. Today they continued their winning run to edge even closer to the top five.

Pogba has been flourishing under Solskjaer. He scored the first two goals against Bournemouth in the 5th and 33rd minute.

Rashford netted United’s third goal near the end of the first half. Although, just before the half time whistle was blown, Aké got a goal back for Bournemouth.

In the second half, within two minutes of Lukaku being subbed into the game he scored the final goal for United. The Reds are now only three points below Arsenal on the Premier League table.

Chelsea, however, are five points above the Gunners after defeating Crystal Palace 1-0. Kanté, assisted by David Luiz, netted the winning goal in the 51st minute.

Manchester City had similar success, recovering from their last two defeats to beat Southampton 3-1. Silva gave City the lead in the 10th minute, but Southampton were still in the game.

Højbjerg equalised for the Saints in the 37th minute. However, a strike from Sterling that bounced off the Southampton goalkeeper and a good kick from Aguero meant that City claimed their second and third goal before half time.

City have now returned to second place on the table, overtaking Tottenham in the race for the title. It is clear that every position on the table is still up for grabs.
