Wenger Woe

Arsenal faced Leicester City for their 3rd game of the season. The results are perhaps something that Wenger would like to keep in the dressing room.

Sanchez put in a goal for Arsenal in the 20th minute of the match. Although this was thought to be a good start, it only took Ulloa 2 minutes to put Leicester level. Vardy went close to scoring later on for Leicester, but the game ended a draw. The loss of 2 points wasn’t just down to gameplay; it was also down to pain. Koscielny had to leave the pitch with a head injury in the first half, Mesut Ozil sustained an ankle problem and Oxlade-Chamberlain sustained a calf injury late on. Ouch! However, all is not lost as Arsene Wenger has suggested that neither are serious.

The Gunners’ second successive draw has dribbled them down to 7th place. Will Wenger be able to hoist Arsenal back up again?

Liverpool Treat Brendon Rodgers

Liverpooled versed Tottenham for their 3rd game of the season. By the looks of things, it seems like they have rapidly recovered from their loss to Manchester City.

In the Early minutes of the game, Sterling put in a goal to put Liverpool ahead! Then, in the 49th minute of the match, Liverpool gained a penalty and Gerrard couldn’t let the opportunity pass. Two up! But 2 was not enough for Moreno as he put in another goal for his team to punish Spurs further. Balotelli was playing for Liverpool on his debut, but he only managed to waste his chances.

Tottenham suffered their first loss under Pochettino as Brendon Rodgers celebrated his 100th match as Liverpool manager. The Reds seem to be firing right back into the spirit of the Premier League!

Did Not See That Coming

Chelsea played against Everton for their 3rd game of the season. Blue against Blue. Trouble against trouble.

9 goals were scored at the Goodison Park extravaganza! The first one was put in by Diego Costa in the 1st minute of the game. He has now scored for Chelsea for the third game running! Within 2 minutes, Chelsea had gained another goal through Ivanovic. At the end of the second half Mirallas put in a goal to get Everton moving again. In the 67th minute, Coleman put in an own goal – giving Chelsea their 3rd goal. However, the Toffees retaliated as Naismith put in a goal 2 minutes later. In the 74th minute Matic added to the Blues’ scoreline. Eto’o fired back on his Everton debut, but, in the next minute Ramires put in a goal to lock in Chelsea’s victory!

Chelsea are at the top of the table as they continue their 100% start to the season! No wonder they’re the favourites to win the Title…

Man City Melancholy

Manchester City played against Stoke and enabled them to register their first Premier League victory in Manchester!

Beating England international Joe Hart at the near post, Mame Biram Diouf ran 70 yards across the pitch to claim a Stoke City victory! His solo effort amazed City as, before today, the visitors had never scored at City in the Premier League! Well, there’s a first time for everything.

Man City were unable to produce any goals: this was only the second time that City failed to score in 71 home matches! Manchester City could have had a late penalty, but instead Yaya Toure was booked for diving. I guess ,sometimes, they can’t always have control.

Manchester City have been shocked with a traumatic loss. Could this loss potentially tamper with their Title chances?

Still Waiting…

Manchester United played against Burnley today and the only thing they could take from the game were ugly results!

Di Maria, Gaal’s £59.7m signing, played for 70 minutes on his United debut. He may be the British record buy, however he failed to stimulate a Manchester victory! The game ended a draw with no goals being deposited in the net. However Van Gaal’s worries did not end there. Di Maria came off the pitch with cramps 20 minutes before the end of the match. Soon after, Mata limped off with a hamstring injury.

Painful result. Pinful feeling. The wait for Manchester United’s first win of the season continues…

Arsenal Avenge

Tonight, Arsenal played the second leg of their game against Besiktas. Although the game was rough, the Gunners managed to continue their row of successive seasons for the 17th year.

Sánchez scored the winning goal that put Arsenal through to the group stages in the 45th minute of the match! The record continues! This was a glorious moment for Arsenal, but sadly, not all of the moments were quite the same…
Debuchy was given a red card with 15 minutes of the game left to go. As a result, he will miss the Gunners’ first group game. Well, hopefully the Reds will provide him with other Champions League moments to be proud of.

Arsenal have proven that they have what it takes to take on the Champions League. They’ve beaten Besiktas with 10 men! All Arsenal are asking now is “Who’s next?”.

Oh. My. Gaal.

MK Dons v Manchester United

Manchester United played against MK Dons for the second round of the Capital One Cup. Before the match, United had not yet won any games under Van Gaal’s management. After the game, United was faced with the same shameful fate.

Grigg scored the first 2 goals for MK Dons in the 25th and 63rd minute of the match. This got heads spinning with shock, for what seemed impossible was being performed live! Afobe then put in the next 2 goals for MK Dons in the 70th and 84th minute. 4 goals put in by a team in League One against a team in the Premier League! The astonishment of the unbelievable occuring has swept the nation. This one will not be forgotten.

Van Gaal is a man of many achievements. Van Gaal is a man of pride. Why is it that Van Gaal cannot reflect his greatness in his Manchester United?

Louis van Gaal

How long must Manchester continue to mourn?

Menacing Man City Supress Liverpool

city triumpth

Manchester City battled against Liverpool for their second game of the season. Liverpool put up a fight, however, Man City triumphed!

Jovetic put in a goal for Manchester City in the 41st minute. He then put in another one in the 55th minute as he felt he had not yet poured enough misery into Liverpool. Man City had done it, but it seemed as if they didnt believe 2 goals were enough. As a result, Aguero put in another goal in the 69th minute. Liverpool may not have won, but Zabaleta put in an own goal in the 83rd minute to help them regain some of the pride lost.

The devilish Reds fell; the heavenly Blues rose. How long can the blue angels continue to sing?

United In Misery

Manchester United versed Sunderland for their second game of the season. Although things began accordingly, it wasn’t long before everything started to deteriorate.

Mata put in a goal for his team in the 17th minute. This put Manchester United in the lead. However, Rodwell did not let them relish in it, for he put in a goal in the 30th. From there onwards Sunderland showed dominance! The game ended in a draw which meant that Man United continued their non – winning streak.

United have only been able to take one point away from and available 6 this season! New manager, same old story.

Crikey!

Arsenal faced Everton for their second league match of the season. They were 2 teams that scored 2 goals in 2 seperate halves of the match.

Coleman put in the first goal for Everton in the 19th minute. The Toffees found it easy to pass through the Gunners defence and neither were they troubled much at the back. This allowed them to produce another goal in the 45th minute.
In the second half, it was still the same old story being told. However in the last 10 minutes Arsenal began to quicken their pace! Ramsey opened up the game for Arsenal in the 83rd minute. This was soon followed by another from Giroud in the 90th. Phew!

Another lucky last minute for the Gunners! How many more can we expect to see?
