Chelsea have faced FC Schalke for their first game of the Champions League group stages. Chelsea was thought to have the easiest group (group G) out of the Premier League clubs participating. However, the results did not show how Chelsea was any better than the team they played.
Cesc Fàbregas put in the first Blue goal in the 11th minute of the match. Mourinho’s men were off to a good start, but sorrowfully, they were not able to battle through till the end. Huntelaar put in the equaliser for Schalke in the 64th minute. Ayayay!
The game did not end in the best way possible. Average performance. Moderate result. Substantial changes needed.
