Both Chelsea and Liverpool won their Premier League matches this Saturday to keep themselves firmly within reach of the top four and even the title. No team is backing down yet!
The Blues defeated Hull 2-0 and they did it with ease. William gave Chelsea the lead in the 61st minute and ,just a few moments later, Diego Costa doubled the scoreline. These two goals meant that Chelsea could not be denied three points.
It’s a shame Hull had to suffer as a consequence of Chelsea’s success. Sorry Hull.
Liverpool’s win wasn’t as easy to gain but it sure was just as sweet. Swansea player Fer netted the first goal of the match in the 8th minute. Although such an early goal proved off-putting, the shock didn’t last too long.
Firmino equalised for Liverpool in the 54minute and, half an hour later, Milner converted a penalty to secure the team a win! They played everything to their advantage and it worked!
Liverpool is currently second on the PL table and Chelsea is sixth. It is clear that both teams are chasing higher positions and both will not give up!
