Chelsea have not lost a Premier League game since their change of manager. Guus Hiddink has got Diego Costa back into top form, which is why he was greatly missed in today’s match against Stoke.
Chelsea had a new scorer today: Traore. He scored a goal in the 39th minute to give his team the lead. The Blues were on the way to another victory.
They were so close to gaining all three points, but they didn’t. Diouf netted a goal in the dying minutes of the match to claim a draw for Stoke. There was no going back from there.
The Blues are currently 10th on the PL table, hanging on to the top half. However, with Costa having been given the opportunity to fully recover from a minor injury, perhaps Chelsea will have a better fate in their Champions League match next week.
