Manchester City were victorious in the League Cup, a battle which many of the other Premier League clubs have already dropped out of.. However, it appeared that all turned upside down in this weekend’s Premier League match.

Manchester City defeated Hull 4-1 with goals from Bony, Iheanacho and De Bruyne. With the rivalry only increasing in the Premier League, it was a wise decision for the team to put a lot of their energy into reaching the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.

The race for the PL title just got a whole lot tougher! Manchester City conceded two goals from Arnautovic, handing out three points to Stoke. Now they sit in third position on the Premier League table, sharing 29 points with Manchester United.

With the Manchester clubs taking a backseat, even Leicester stands a greater chance of winning the cup. Manchester City, a club that once seemed unbeatable, needs to resume their triumphant stance.
