Drifting

In the past few weeks Chelsea made a substantial improvent. They’ve actually won games! Well, that was until recently.

The Blues had previously gone seven games without scoring! Diego Costa was the player to turn their fortune around when he netted the winning goal in the game against Norwich!

Then last Tuesday, Chelsea displayed a glimpse of their former selves. They defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv by netting four goals and conceding none! Although this time Mourinho was not so pleased by Costa’s first half performance, there were four other players who took the role of netting the goals.

The Blues’ fans were finally getting their colour back! Until the weekend struck. No goals were scored in Chelsea’s games against Tottenham. None at all. Totthenham, in fact, was the team that dominated! Surely, Chelsea can’t be slipping down again?

Indeed, they are. They lost their match against Bournemouth this Saturday after conceding a goal from Murray. Courtois returned to his goalkeeping position in this match, but not even him could alter Chelsea’s fate.

Chelsea need to start waking up a bit, now that we’re getting half way through the season. However, they seem to be struggling to consistently perform well at games.
