Liverpool beat Manchester City at home to go fifth on the Premier League table. Well, I guess it can’t be too shocking since it has been over a decade since City last won at Anfield.

Henderson scored the first goal of the match in the 11th minute. Liverpool had the lead, however, they were all too quick to give it up. Dzeko equalised for City in the 25th minute!

Although Manchester City restored normality, this was later altered in the second half of the match. Coutinho scored the winning goal for Liverpool in the 75th moment! The Reds forced Manchester City to recognise that it was their homeground and their time to shine!

Manchester City’s loss has given Chelsea the opportunity to once again go eight points clear at the top of the table. Are there enough games for Man City to close the gap? Down at fith place is Liverpool. Could this victorious game against a Premier League giant prove that the Reds have a sustained chance of finishing in top four?
