The likelihood that Chelsea were to leave the match with a draw against Everton was very large. However, a few hiccups from the Toffees opened the door to a win for the Blues.
Chelsea pushed for a win throughout the match but all attempts appeared unsuccessful. They had 21 shots at goal, triple that of Everton! Despite this, they somehow stuggled to do anything with it.
The only goal of the match came at the end of the second half. Barry, an Everton player, was shown a red card in the 88th minute of the game. The Blues wasted no time in taking advantage of this as Willian scored the winning goal within the next minute!
Chelsea have managed to maintain the seven-point gap on the Premier League table between them and Manchester City. They are still the leaders, but perhaps a little less comfortably.
