Liverpool don’t seem to be progressing at all. They only gained one point from their derby game against Everton.

The game was goalless. No side managed a breakthrough. Both sides proved to be a match for one another.

Nevertheless, Liverpool showed some domination as they had six shots on target compared to Everton’s one. They had 55% possession compared to Everton’s 45%. Yet this wasn’t good enough. They couldn’t convert this power into goals and valuable points on the Premier League table.

Perhaps the Toffees were saving their mighty wrath for when they play Chelsea next so they decided not to waste it on Liverpool. But what excuse do the Reds have? It was Gerrard’s last derby match against Everton and it turned out not to be a memorable one.

Liverpool are 7th position on the table. Isn’t it time for them to start shifting upwards?
