Manchester City played against Middlesbrough with the hope to qualify for the fifth round of the FA Cup. City are lugging behind Chelsea in the Premier League and it looks as if they continued to follow them today. Chelsea went down and so did they.
Bamford, the on-loan Chelsea player, gave Middlesbrough the lead in the 53rd minute of the match! Once again, Chelsea were refusing to let City succeed. It was a slow start for Manchester City and they only managed to move backwards.
The next goal came in extra time and it wasn’t an equaliser. Garcia Martinez doubled the lead Bamford and secured their entrance into the next stage of the FA Cup!
The results of today’s match proved hard to swallow for Man City and their fans. With them out of one competition, could it allow them to focus more on defeating their modern rival, Chelsea?
