Almost Had It

Liverpool versed Arsenal in a game of fire and flames. The game went back and forth, however in the end it was Arsenal that let it slip from their hands.

The first goal was scored by Coutinho, giving Liverpool the lead in the 45th minute. But somehow, before the half time whistle could be blown, Debuchy put in the equaliser! Now isn’t that a sight for sore eyes?!

In the second half, Giroud gave the Gunners the lead. This was maintained throughout the second half, but not in the nine minutes of extra time!

Nine minutes was given due to a head injury to Skrtel during the match. A lot happened during the lengthy period of time. Markovic, a Liverpool player, was shown a red card. A ten-man Liverpool pushed against a full Arsenal squad. Oh and of course, Skrtel who was earlier bleeding from the head ended up scoring a goal for Liverpool to make the end result 2-2! I don’t think anybody saw that coming!

The Gunners simply let their glory slip through their fingers. If both teams carry on dropping points, perhaps top 4 won’t be for them this season.
