Chelsea faced Schalke in a Champions League match which had the possibility to secure Chelsea’s position in the next stage. From tonight’s result, Chelsea will not need to worry about the scoreline of their next European match.

Terry gave the match a shocking start as he scored a goal in the 2nd minute! This early dominance paved a path for his teams’ success. William doubled their lead in the 29th minute. As if the pain of loss hadn’t begun to settle in on Schalke already, Kirchhoff rubbed salt into the injury by scoring an own goal as the first half came to a close.

3-0 would have been enough. More than enough. But there’s just something about Mourinho’s team and their crave to always want more! Drogba sealed a 4th goal for Chelsea in the 76th minute. This was followed by the 5th and final goal from Ramires just two minutes later.

He failed to show that Abramovich was wrong to sack him. Mourinho won once again. Will his success ever be hindered?
