Man City Mahem

Wigan stunned Man City with a 2-1 victory. Looks like the past caught up with Man City as Wigan beat them last year to win this same cup! All the might of Nasri and Aguero wasn’t enough to stop lowly Wigan. Gomez struck a penalty to put Wigan ahead in the 27th minute of the game. During the first half, Wigan had double the shots and higher shots on target ( Man City had none)! Within two minuites of the second half, James Perch doubled Wigan’s lead over Man City! The past was coming back to haunt the club that failed to win last year.
Wigan did start to just defend their box, though, which enabled Nasri to put in a goal in the 68th minute. It was all back and Forth after that until the final whistle was blown.
With Man City being in the race for the Premier League title and Wigan sitting comfortably in Championship, you wouldn’t expect these sort of results to occur. The Man City manager wanted his team to grasp all 4 trophies: that dream has been altered.
Fromthis game, should we question the ability of Man City or the ability of Wigan?
