Despair and glumness was the only things displayed on the faces of Manchester United fans around the stadium today. Before the game, many thought Man U was sure to win as they didn’t see Olympiakos as a threatening team. Although, Olympiakos fed off the missing fear factor of Man United to surprise the fans and prove their skills! A defeat of 2-0 came United’s way- the second goal being from Arsenal’s Joel Campbell. Only
once in 22 years has a team come back from a 2-0 deficit. With Man U only having one registered shot on target, they don’t give the impression that they could change that record. The second leg may be the last game Manchester United play in Champions League for a while- the chances are slim that they will qualify- so they should approach it head on!
Rooney recently signed a 5 year contract, with Man United, that pays him 300,000 a week! Was it that he needed bribing to stay with a team that reflects the Wall Street Crash? It may be a contract that he lives to regret; Van Persie has already talked about a departure he wishes to make from the club.
